Behavioral Health Unit
Chambers Memorial Behavioral Health Unit is an adult psychiatric inpatient program with a history of success in treating acute mental illness along with health-related needs of patients 40 years of age and up. Our 12-bed unit offers personalized care through evaluations, activities, and group therapy sessions.
It is our goal to provide the best care for optimizing healthy functioning and quality of life. With proper treatment, many adults suffering with mental illness or cognitive deficit are able to enjoy a more fulfilling life.
Evaluation and treatment for:
- Dementia with behavioral disturbances
- Delusions or hallucinations
- Medication non-compliance
Our interdisciplinary team consists of:
- Program Director
- General Physician
- Advanced Practice Nurses
- 24-hour nursing staff
- Social Services
- Activity therapist
Referrals may be made by physicians, mental health professionals, social workers, family members or friends.
